# Verify crypto transfer status

> Retrieve the current status of a crypto transfer.

Retrieve a crypto transfer using its Pasteaza `reference` or your `merchantReference`.

## Status values

| Status | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `RESERVED` | The amount is reserved while Pasteaza prepares the transfer. |
| `SUBMITTED` | The transfer was submitted and is waiting for confirmation. |
| `CONFIRMED` | The transfer completed successfully. |
| `FAILED` | The transfer failed. Any reserved balance was released. |
| `REVERSED` | The transfer was reversed and the balance was restored. |

## Errors

| Code | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `authentication_failed` | The API key is missing or invalid. |
| `validation_failed` | `reference` is missing. |
| `crypto_transfer_not_found` | No transfer matched the reference in this environment. |
